Food, Food, What's it Good For? Absolutely Nothin'!

Yeah, can you believe it? Tubby's (I swear I'm going to stop calling him that!) just not interested. He's now tried avacados, baby oatmeal cereal, apples, homeade barley porridge, and sweet potatoes. None of it really excites him. So far, barley porridge and sweet potatoes are okay. He'll open his mouth an average of 4 times per meal to eat I'd say about 1/2 tsp. of actual food. Mostly he just keeps his lips shut tight and pretends that I don't exist. He looks around and tries to play with the chair strap. He's just not interested. I know, that's normal. He's probably not ready, yet. But I am! He's getting up at all hours of the night, and while I know they say that a full belly is not necessarily a sleepy belly, it's worth a try! I'm tired! As you can see from the top pictures, Robert does not seem to be wasting away due to lack of solid food, and he's not even that tired due to frequent nightime partying.
He's a happy little six month old. He loves his Daddy and has taken to screaming in a very high and happy pitch when Daddy gets home. You can only imagine the smile that comes to Rob's face when he sees that. Wow! Robert also loves his dogs more and more. He makes a specific sound when he's trying to get their attention. Hazel loves it. She's learning to watch him carefully when she's near him because she now knows that when he gets a grip of her, he doesn't let go. She is so sweet and never growls or snarls at him. Sallie, on the other hand, has been beaten on many occasions now for growling at Robert. I don't think she would ever hurt him, but I try to keep him away from her anyway.
Robert is sitting up quite well these days. He falls over on purpose to get toys that he's dropped to the side. He'll then stay on his stomach for a while to play, but eventually whines to get me to set him upright. He's not making any signs of crawling. I think he may be one of those babies who just gets up from sitting and walks. Who knows!
We're all finally getting well from our colds. Robert's current nonsleeping habits made healing take a bit longer, I think. But we're over the hump. We'd love prayers for sleeping through the night and patience through tired days.

So funny. I guess he's not ready to eat. Emily is doing okay. She really doesn't eat much, but we try.

I will pray that Robert sleeps tonight.

Oh Sallie....be a good girl. Shame on you! That little boy is precious, so be nice to him!
