Just About 6 Months

Man that snow is bright!
Look at me showing off for Daddy! Bottles are beginning to be fun for Robert, though definitely only a toy and not a real tool for serious eating.

Sitting up proud!

Can he get that whole rattle in his mouth all at once?

Robert is just about 6 months old. He's getting so strong! He can sit up on his own, though I like to keep a pillow behind him for backward spills, which still happen often. He falls forward, too, but he usually catches himself and just lands on his tummy. Today he landed on Sallie, who was a bit too close to him. Thankfully I noticed just when he was about to pull a handful of Sallie's tail! She was not amused and was trying to hold back a growl that she really wanted to let loose. While Hazel welcomes Robert's attention, Sallie seems afraid and annoyed by him.
We're heading to Kanuga in a few days, and Robert will be baptized! Keep us in your prayers.

Christmas in Atlanta

Look at me in a big boy high chair!

Why did everyone get me so many presents? I'm just as happy with the ones that came attached to my body!

I loved sitting in the midst of my wild family while we all opened our Christmas presents. I just talked and talked and squealed my little heart out! I fit right in with my crazy cousins!

We stopped in Columbia on the way to Atlanta to visit our friends. This guy here has got lots to teach me in the years to come! I'm gonna grow to love him as much as my Mommy and Daddy and Nona and Pops do!

I love books! I just eat them right up!

Robert is now an experienced traveler. We are finally back from our month long adventure South. Robert is slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things here in the Great White Midwest. It's currently 13 below zero right now (9:30 a.m.), but we are snuggly warm in our little apartment. We're going to get all bundled up for a Picnic in the Gym later. Hey, we've got to get out sometime!

Robert got weighed yesterday at our breastfeeding group. He's up to 20 lbs. 12 oz.! He's starting slowing down, believe it or not. I'm okay with that, though I'm so proud that he's a big ole healthy boy!

Enjoy these pictures from Atlanta!
